Busy year ahead - Exhibitions 2023

I have three planned exhibitions for 2023 and the first is in May in Brighton. I am taking part in the annual Artist Open Houses, Fiveways area. I have participated for over 20 years in this lovely event and it is usually the first exhibition of the year.

If you are new to the concept of Open Houses you are in for a treat. Artists open up their homes for four weekends, as part of the wider Brighton Festival (2nd largest to Edinburgh). You can follow various open house 'trails' that are spread throughout Brighton. It is a lovely way to spend a day and everyone is super friendly and willing to show you the artists work and their home!

Open House Invite

For me, it is a final end to preparing paintings after being in the studio so much it is so nice to meet and greet visitors to the house. This year my host, Frances Doherty has invited some super artists with jewellery, ceramics and origami. More details will be in my newsletter.

The other exhibitions are planned for Colonnade House in Worthing in September and the Brighton Art Fair, also in September. Colonnade House is a group exhibition with fellow artists in a beautiful gallery space in Worthing. Details to follow for dates etc.

The Brighton Art Fair is back, after major renovations to the venue at the Corn Exchange in Brighton. It has been six years since the last Brighton Art Fair so will be exciting to be there. I will be showing new paintings and am looking forward to this one.

Lastly my studio is always available for studio visits if you wish to come and see a painting, its always nice to welcome people into my working space and have a coffee. If I am not in your area then you can also view any of the paintings at home, just click on 'Try In Your Room'.

best wishes Jane
