Artwork Sales Policy – Jane Denman Art
Advance Viewing (Optional)
If you'd like to view a painting in person before deciding to purchase, I’m happy to arrange a viewing by appointment in Angmering, West Sussex.
Please email 📧 art@janedenman.com to set up a time. There is no obligation to buy after a viewing.
How to Purchase
Purchases made online are processed securely via PayPal, meaning your credit or debit card details are kept confidential.You can pay through your PayPal account or use a card without needing a PayPal account.
If you prefer to pay by bank transfer, cheque, or another method, please contact me in advance. In most cases, I will need to wait for payment to clear before dispatching the artwork.
Delivery (Postage & Packaging)
- For unframed paintings and small/medium box canvases, I use Royal Mail Special Delivery (UK only).
- For larger canvases or framed works, I typically use Parcelforce 48 within the UK.
- If you'd like to purchase more than one painting, please contact me first—I may be able to combine shipping costs.
📦 International Orders
I’m happy to post internationally with the exception of the United States.
Please note: As of August 2025, I no longer ship orders to the USA.
Due to variations in size, weight, and destination, only UK delivery prices are shown at checkout.
Please email me for a tailored international postage quote (for all countries except the United States).
- Lightweight or unmounted items may ship via Airsure or International Signed For, which cost only slightly more than UK rates.
- Framed or mounted works typically require international courier services, which are more expensive.
📌 Note: You are responsible for any import duties or taxes in your country.
Packaging & Insurance
All artworks are carefully packaged for safe delivery.
Delivery charges include insurance (excluding glass). Please note that glass is not covered by standard courier insurance.
If this concerns you, I can provide your artwork unframed or framed without glass on request.
Risk and responsibility for the artwork pass to you upon delivery unless you've arranged your own courier.
Returns & Cancellations (UK Law)
If you order online, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the artwork under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
To cancel:
- Email 📧 art@janedenman.com within 14 days of delivery.
- Return the artwork in its original condition and secure packaging within 14 days of cancellation.
- You are responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty or damaged.
Once I receive the return, I will refund the purchase price (excluding shipping) within 14 days.
Returns After 14 Days
After the legal cancellation period, refunds may be offered at my discretion and could be subject to a partial refund depending on the condition of the returned artwork.
Damaged or Faulty Artwork
If your painting arrives damaged, please contact me within 30 days with photographs if possible.
I will arrange a replacement, repair, or full refund, including return postage.
EU Customers
If you are based in the EU or EEA, you also have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receipt under the EU Consumer Rights Directive.
Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving your return or proof of postage.
