My latest painting - seeking shady refuge now a collection

This latest painting 'Picnic in the Park, Split' completes a series of paintings focusing on travels, heat and seeking shade. It feels like a long journey where I travelled to Europe to experience new sights and was amazed by the beautiful green parks in city spaces that serve as respite from the summer heat. With the heat coming also to the UK these spaces are becoming more sought after.

In Picnic in the Park I loved the light and shade of the trees, creating a pattern on the bright walls and road, there are imaginary parts to this painting that lead you into this cool interior created by trees. When you look closely there are figures in the cool shady areas, I like creating surprise elements in paintings so that you can find new areas each time you look.

You can view this painting on your own wall using the AR tool, just hold your phone/mobile device up to your wall and follow the instructions. If you would like to see the painting do arrange a studio visit or come along to the September exhibition.

I will be exhibiting these paintings at the Colonnade in Worthing this September as part of the Unseen exhibition (more details to follow).

Above are the four paintings, the two on the left are based on a trip to Split in Croatia, the ones on the right are from Porto (far right is now sold) see the collection here

My easy solutions: delivering a painting to you

What happens to a painting when it is sold? How does it get to you and what can you expect when you buy a painting? Where are my Terms and Conditions for payment and delivery? These questions  are straight forward and here is how I do it.

Are you local?

My online shop is up and running and if you live locally, within 30 miles of my studio I normally deliver the painting to you upon payment.  If you see the painting at one of my exhibitions then I usually arrange delivery with you and a time that is convenient for me to drop it to you. If the paintings are framed with glass I prefer to deliver if I can to you.

Live further away?

No problem, I have a courier service that have just done a fantastic job in shipping one of my largest pieces to Germany. They collect and pack the painting at their warehouse before delivering, they will call ahead to notify when it will be delivered.

Online and offline Service

So if you live in the UK or in Europe (sorry not to US yet) you can order a painting and have it shipped to you.

What is the cost of having a painting shipped?

Currently I am offering free delivery over £100
