I based this painting on the heat of the summer in 2018. I had a private view to attend in Hampstead Heath and as it was so hot that day a friend and I decided to go to the women’s Hampstead Heath Swimming Pond. It was amazing, the first time I had ever been in a pond and it was so refreshing in the middle of London too.
The painting for me evokes a richness of colour, sights and smells that I love when I am near water. Read more about the Swimming Pond
